ALFONSO, Cavite — Actress-model Rere Madrid and Kai Sotto married in a surprise garden wedding ceremony in Alfonso, Cavite, attended by family members and close friends.
Madrid shared videos from the ceremony on Instagram on Wednesday, showing the couple exchanging vows at a private garden restaurant and events venue owned by Neri Naig and Chito Miranda.
The wedding took place at the Alfonso-based venue and was officiated by Alfonso Mayor Randy Salamat.
In her Instagram post, Madrid thanked God, their families, and supporters while reflecting on challenges the couple faced during their relationship.
The ceremony featured white floral arrangements designed by Gideon Hermosa. Madrid wore a white spaghetti-strap gown, while Sotto wore an all-white outfit.
A wedding video by NicePrint showed the couple exchanging rings and sharing remarks during the reception.
Among those who attended the ceremony were Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, and members of Parokya ni Edgar, who performed during the reception.
The couple also received congratulatory messages from athletes and celebrities including Samantha Bernardo, Shuvee Etrata, Mavy Legaspi, and Ashley Ortega.
Madrid and Sotto reportedly began dating in 2024 after appearing together at the 2024 GMA Gala.
