MANILA, Philippines — Justin Brownlee tied for second place on the all-time list for most games played by an import in the Philippine Basketball Association during Game 2 of the Commissioner’s Cup semifinals between Barangay Ginebra and Rain or Shine at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday.

PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon III said Brownlee’s appearance marked his 270th career game as an import, tying him with former Alaska import Sean Chambers for second all-time.

Brownlee now trails only Norman Black, who holds the record with 282 import games.

Brownlee, who debuted in the 2016 Governors’ Cup, has served as Ginebra’s main import across multiple conferences and has helped the team win six championships during import-laden tournaments, including the 2022–23 Commissioner’s Cup.

He is 12 games away from matching Black’s record, with the possibility of reaching the mark depending on Ginebra’s playoff progress in the current conference.
