SEOUL, South Korea — Jungkook, the youngest member of South Korean supergroup BTS, became the first Asian solo artist to surpass 100 million streams on each of his original songs on Spotify, according to the World Music Awards on Monday, July 21.
The global music organization confirmed that all 18 of Jungkook’s original tracks available on Spotify have individually reached over 100 million streams.
Spotify currently lists 47 tracks on Jungkook’s artist profile, with 18 being original solo songs. This milestone places Jungkook alongside only two other artists worldwide—Billie Eilish and Harry Styles—who have achieved the same record.
Jungkook’s debut solo album GOLDEN also set streaming records, becoming the first and longest-charting album by an Asian soloist on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart. The album remained on the chart for 89 consecutive weeks as of July 2025.
The album’s lead single, “Seven,” has accumulated over 2.45 billion streams, earning multiple Guinness World Records, including for the fastest song to reach both 100 million and 1 billion streams on Spotify.
Jungkook’s Spotify account has now recorded over 9.2 billion total unfiltered streams, making him the fastest Asian artist to reach this number and the first K-pop soloist to do so.
The World Music Awards recognize the best-selling recording artists globally based on official international sales figures and streaming data.
