MANILA, Philippines — June Mar Fajardo earned his seventh Mr. Basketball award Monday night at the 2025 Philippine Sportswriters Association Awards Night, adding another highlight to his storied career.

Fajardo, who recently captured a record ninth PBA MVP award and led San Miguel Beer to the Season 49 Philippine Cup title, said receiving the honor continues to be meaningful. “It’s an honor. I’m blessed to get another Mr. Basketball award,” he said in Filipino.

The 36-year-old Cebu native also secured his 12th PBA championship just weeks ago and now shifts his focus to the national team. “I got to rest, I went home to Cebu for a while. We started practicing for the national team and we’ll start our training camp soon,” Fajardo added.

This latest accolade further cements Fajardo’s legacy as one of the Philippines’ most accomplished basketball players.
