Blissoo, the agency founded by BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, said it has no connection to the singer’s brother, who is currently under police investigation in South Korea for alleged sexual assault.
The statement comes after reports that a man in his 30s, surnamed Kim and believed to be Jisoo’s brother, was arrested on April 15 over allegations that he sexually assaulted a female streamer at his home in Seoul. He is accused of forcible molestation after inviting the woman to his residence. While he reportedly acknowledged meeting the woman, he denied using force. He is also facing separate allegations of domestic violence involving his wife.
Blissoo, through its legal representatives Kim & Chang, emphasized that the case is unrelated to Jisoo and the agency. It also said that much of the online discussion surrounding the issue is based on unverified or false claims.
The agency stated that Jisoo has been independent from her family since beginning her trainee career at a young age and has no involvement in or knowledge of her brother’s private matters.
Blissoo also denied claims circulating online that the brother had any role in the agency’s founding or management, saying he has no legal or business ties to the company.
The agency warned that it would pursue civil and criminal action against the spread of false information or defamatory content linking the artist to the case, calling such claims harmful and baseless.
