SHERMAN, Texas — Federal investigators are working to identify potential child victims across the country after authorities arrested a Tennessee man on federal charges involving the alleged sexual exploitation of minors.
Joseph Dalton Bowman, 32, of Nashville, appeared Monday before U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant in Texas and was ordered detained after a federal grand jury indicted him on charges of coercion of a minor, production of child pornography and traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas said Bowman could face a life sentence in federal prison if convicted on all three charges.
Investigators from the Department of Homeland Security’s Child Exploitation Group and the Frisco Police Department believe Bowman may have contacted additional minors in several cities across the United States.

- Tampa, Florida
- North Chesterfield, Virginia
- Glen Allen, Virginia
- Covington, Kentucky
- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
- New York City, New York
- Brooklyn, New York
- Mulvane, Kansas
- Caldwell, Kansas
- Kansas City, Missouri
- Memphis, Tennessee
- Nashville, Tennessee
- Mount Juliet, Tennessee
- Orlando, Florida
- Dallas, Texas
- Frisco, Texas
Investigators are asking parents or guardians who believe their child may have met Bowman or communicated with his social media account, “snapwithdalton,” to contact authorities.
