GORDON, Texas— Gordon Independent School District (ISD) has canceled classes for Monday following severe storms that struck North Texas on Sunday evening.

As recovery efforts continue, the district will provide updates to parents and students regarding the resumption of classes. Officials are also exploring options for remote learning or alternative instructional days if necessary.

The storms, which affected multiple communities in North Texas, prompted local authorities to urge residents to stay cautious and report any hazardous conditions to emergency services.

Local government agencies, along with the school district and emergency management teams, are coordinating efforts to address the immediate needs of the affected areas and to support long-term recovery.

As the community of Gordon works together to recover, local officials and volunteers remain focused on restoring normalcy in the area.
