Facebook users encounter outages, problems accessing accounts

Thousands of users worldwide reported difficulties accessing Facebook on Friday night as a service disruption affected the platform and other Meta-owned applications, including Messenger and Instagram.

Users reported being unexpectedly logged out of their Facebook accounts and experiencing problems loading news feeds and other content. Many also encountered error messages and were unable to log back in during the disruption.

Reports of outages emerged from multiple countries, including the Philippines and other parts of Asia, indicating that the issue affected users in several regions.

The disruption lasted for approximately 30 minutes before services gradually began returning to normal, according to user reports.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, acknowledged the outage and said its engineers were working to restore affected services.

As of the latest reports, the company had not identified the cause of the disruption.
