The Black Eyed Peas made a triumphant return to the Philippines on Thursday night, electrifying thousands of fans at the Mall of Asia Arena with a hit-filled concert featuring solo performances, surprise guests like Sandara Park and EZ Mil, and heartfelt tributes from Filipino-American member Apl.de.Ap to his homeland.
After six years, Grammy-winning international rap group Black Eyed Peas staged a powerful comeback in Manila, performing before a packed crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena. The concert, produced by Wilbros Live, opened with high-energy hits “Let’s Get It Started,” “Boom Boom Pow,” and “Rock That Body,” instantly setting the celebratory tone.
Each member also showcased solo numbers. Taboo energized the crowd with “East LA” and “In The Air,” while Will.i.am fired up fans with “This Is Love,” “That Power,” and “Scream and Shout.” Filipino-American member Apl.de.Ap delivered an emotional set featuring “The APL Song” and “Mabuti,” before thrilling the audience with the surprise appearance of Sandara Park (Dara) for their collaboration “2 Proud.” Rapper EZ Mil also joined Apl.de.Ap for a rousing performance of the Fil-Am anthem “Bebot.”
The group reunited onstage for a string of their biggest global hits, including “Pump It,” “Don’t Stop the Party,” “The Time (Dirty Bit),” and the socially charged “Where Is the Love?” They closed the night with the fan favorite “I Gotta Feeling,” sending the arena into a euphoric singalong.
Between songs, the Peas reflected on their career journey, with Will.i.am recalling his first meeting with Apl.de.Ap at age 14. He shared how Apl.de.Ap , who once worked on farms in Angeles, Pampanga, longed to return home, and how their friendship ensured that promise was fulfilled through concerts in the Philippines.
The last time the group performed in the country was during the 2019 Southeast Asian Games closing ceremony in Tarlac.
