SEOUL — Danielle Marsh said she “fought until the very end” to remain a member of K-pop girl group NewJeans, according to a statement released following her departure.
In the message, Marsh expressed her desire to stay with the group and continue activities alongside the remaining members, while acknowledging the official decision that led to her exit. She said she respected the outcome and wished the group continued success.
Marsh addressed fans directly, thanking them for their support and asking them to continue following NewJeans as well as her future endeavors. Her statement offered one of the few personal accounts of her efforts to maintain her place in the group amid the lineup changes announced by the agency.
She debuted with NewJeans under ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE, and participated in the group’s releases and promotions before confirming her withdrawal. NewJeans continues to promote with its remaining members while management implements the announced adjustments and plans upcoming activities.
