Fans of Ely Buendia and the iconic band Eraserheads are in for a unique experience as a special film-and-concert tour rolls out across North America ahead of the release of the documentary Eraserheads: Combo on the Run.

The events will combine advance screenings of the film with live performances by Buendia, offering audiences both a cinematic and musical tribute to one of the Philippines’ most influential bands.

The four-city tour will stop at:

  • April 8 – TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles
  • April 10 – Rio Theatre in Vancouver
  • April 13 – Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema in Toronto
  • April 19 – AMC Empire 25 in New York

Directed by Maria Diane Ventura and produced by DVent Films, the documentary traces the rise of the Eraserheads—from their formation in Quezon City in 1989 to becoming a defining force in Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

The band—composed of Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Buddy Zabala, and Raimund Marasigan—earned the nickname “The Beatles of the Philippines” for their cultural impact and influence.

Featuring rare archival footage and candid interviews, the film also explores the group’s creative journey, internal struggles, and eventual reunions, set against the backdrop of the post-EDSA People Power Revolution era.

After the advance screenings, Eraserheads: Combo on the Run will have its wider theatrical release across the United States and Canada on April 24.
