MANILA, Philippines — Ella Pangilinan, sister of actor Donny Pangilinan, has welcomed her first child with her husband, Enrique Miranda.
Ella, daughter of celebrity couple Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan, announced the news through an Instagram Story on Saturday, June 6.
She shared a black-and-white photo of her husband holding their newborn, along with a separate image showing the baby’s feet. In her caption, she revealed their child’s name as Fernando Leon Miranda.
The couple previously announced their pregnancy in January, about two years after they got married in an intimate ceremony in Intramuros in December 2023.
Ella has spoken in earlier interviews about her close relationship with her mother, saying she frequently sought parenting and childbirth advice from Maricel Laxa, who she described as a major influence in her preparation for motherhood.
The couple’s family ties also connect them to the entertainment world, with Enrique Miranda being the brother of Daniel Miranda, longtime partner of actress Sofia Andres.
