Dwight Ramos, a player for Levanga Hokkaido in Japan’s B.League, expressed his hope to see more Filipino athletes compete in the league.
Speaking at a meet-and-greet event at the Grand Venice Mall in Taguig, Ramos highlighted the value of international exposure for Filipino players.
Ramos recently signed a contract extension with Levanga Hokkaido, reaffirming his commitment to the team and the league. During the event, he addressed questions about his upcoming season and reflected on his journey in Japanese basketball.
He encouraged fellow Filipino athletes to continue improving and to explore opportunities abroad, particularly in leagues like Japan’s B.League, which currently hosts only a few Filipino imports.
Ramos said the presence of more Filipino players in international leagues would be a positive step for Philippine basketball. He also thanked fans for their support and celebrated the chance to interact with them during the event.
