Authorities in Union County, Georgia, continued a large-scale search Monday for Dallas attorney Charles Hosch, who went missing near the Appalachian Trail on Nov. 11.

More than 50 responders and volunteers joined ground and air operations to locate him.

Union County Sheriff’s Office officials said Hosch disappeared in a remote area along the trail. Family members reported him missing after being unable to reach him, prompting deputies to begin an initial search and request assistance from regional search and rescue teams.

Authorities coordinated with state agencies and regional partners to bring in technical resources and experienced personnel. Investigators reviewed Hosch’s recent activities, vehicle information, lodging records, and known contacts in north Georgia to narrow search zones. Nearby jurisdictions along the trail were notified to watch for any signs of him.

Medical personnel remained on standby, and volunteers helped with logistics and distributing information to support the search. Officials said no personal items belonging to Hosch have been found, and there is no confirmed evidence of foul play.

Union County authorities said the search will continue while conditions permit and encouraged anyone with information about Hosch’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement. Updates will come from the sheriff’s office or designated agencies involved in the operation.
