MANILA, Philippines– Filipino boxer Nonito “The Flash” Donaire Jr. is set to face Chilean fighter Andres Campos for the interim WBA bantamweight title on June 14 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The bout will take place during the World Boxing Association’s “KO to Drugs” festival at Casino Buenos Aires.

Donaire, 42, will return to the ring for the first time since losing by unanimous decision to Alexandro Santiago in July 2023. Prior to that, he suffered a knockout defeat in 2022 against Naoya Inoue, marking the first back-to-back losses of his professional career.

The upcoming fight offers Donaire an opportunity to reclaim championship status in the bantamweight division. The match will serve as a key event in the WBA’s campaign, which combines professional boxing with anti-drug advocacy.
