Denmark and the Philippines drafted a bilateral health cooperation agreement that will create structured training and recruitment pathways for Filipino health workers seeking employment in Denmark, officials from both countries said.
Representatives from Denmark’s health and labor sectors and the Philippine government met recently to outline provisions of the draft pact.
The agreement will cover recruitment standards, skills-training programs, professional licensing support, and workplace integration measures for Filipino nurses, caregivers, and other health professionals in Danish institutions.
The draft sets procedures for Danish hospitals and care facilities to coordinate with Philippine agencies and accredited recruitment partners during hiring.
Philippine officials said the pact aims to ensure ethical recruitment, including clear employment contracts, transparent hiring, and adherence to international labor and migration standards.
