DALLAS, Texas — Dallas Fire-Rescue rescued a dog on Saturday that became trapped on a pillar beneath a bridge, officials said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded around 4 p.m. on May 23 to a call at Topeka Avenue after reports that a dog was stuck in a hard-to-reach area under a bridge.

Officials said the dog did not appear to be in distress but could not move from the location due to limited access.

Firefighters used a ladder truck to reach the dog and safely bring it down.

Dallas Fire-Rescue turned the animal over to Dallas Animal Services following the rescue.
