MANILA, Philippines — Actress Cristine Reyes and former National Youth Commission chair Gio Tingson announced their engagement through a joint Instagram post on Wednesday, May 20, sharing photos from a recent trip to Hong Kong that included a photo of Reyes wearing an engagement ring.
“Every timeline led here. Endgame unlocked,” Reyes wrote in the caption of the post.
The couple did not disclose details about the proposal, but the photos suggested the engagement took place in Hong Kong during their vacation.
Several celebrities and friends congratulated the couple in the comments section, including Iza Calzado, Alessandra de Rossi, Alex Gonzaga, Carla Abellana, Dominic Roque, Dianne Medina, Isabelle Daza, Nikki Valdez, Luis Alandy and Ryza Cenon.
Reyes confirmed her relationship with Tingson in August 2025, although the couple has kept details about their relationship private.
The actress was previously married to Ali Khatibi in 2016. Their marriage was annulled in 2023. They have one daughter, Amarah.
