MANILA, Philippines– The Creamline Cool Smashers concluded their Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Champions League run after a straight-sets loss to Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima on Thursday at the Philsports Arena.

The Thai squad dominated with scores of 15-25, 22-25, 16-25, advancing to the tournament’s next stage.

The defeat follows Creamline’s earlier heartbreak in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference, where they fell to Petro Gazz in Game 3 of the finals.

Petro Gazz secured their first All-Filipino title with a 3-1 victory, ending Creamline’s bid for a fifth consecutive championship.

Despite the back-to-back setbacks, Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses expressed pride in his team’s performance over a demanding six-month stretch.

“The team gave everything,” Meneses said, adding that lessons from both domestic and international matches will fuel their preparations for upcoming competitions.

Creamline, one of the most decorated teams in PVL history with 10 titles, now shifts focus to rebuilding and strategizing for the next season.

The club remains a cornerstone of Philippine volleyball and is expected to bounce back in future local and international tournaments.

Meanwhile, Nakhon Ratchasima’s quarterfinal win highlights Thailand’s continued strength in Asian volleyball, as the AVC tournament showcases top talent from across the region.

The Creamline Cool Smashers concluded their campaign in the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Champions League with a quarterfinals loss against Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima.

This loss followed their finish in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference, where they were defeated by Petro Gazz in Game 3 of the finals.

Creamline’s coach expressed pride in the team’s performance despite the challenges faced over a six-month season. Creamline aims to learn from these experiences and prepare for future competitions.
