Marvel Studios confirmed that actor Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday.
The studio announced that Evans will reprise his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, continuing the storyline established in previous Avengers films.
Marvel Studios said the film will feature both returning and new characters but did not release the full cast list. The studio also did not disclose the plot, production schedule, filming locations, or release date.
Representatives stated that additional details about the creative team and supporting cast will be announced at a later time.
Avengers: Doomsday is part of Marvel Studios’ ongoing slate of interconnected films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
