Parokya Ni Edgar’s lead singer, Chito Miranda, has publicly defended his wife, Neri Naig, after reports indicate that Naig was taken into custody for allegedly breaching Section 28 of Republic Act No. 8799, also known as the Securities Regulation Code.
The news of the arrest first surfaced through showbiz insider Ogie Diaz.
Miranda took to social media to assert his wife’s innocence, stating she has never engaged in deceptive practices.
He expressed disbelief over the accusations, insisting that his wife has always conducted herself with integrity and sincerity.
According to reports, Naig faces charges related to syndicated estafa, along with alleged violations of the Securities Regulation Code.
Chito Miranda has continuously vouched for his wife’s character, highlighting her honesty and kindness. He expressed frustration over the situation, questioning the legitimacy of the charges against Naig.
Naig, a former actress and an entrepreneur, has been involved in numerous business ventures.
Miranda emphasized that his wife was not given any notice of a criminal complaint before her arrest. He added that she did not receive any formal communication regarding the charges. Miranda shared his sentiments online, highlighting the absence of due process in the case against Naig.
