MANILA — The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) reported Thursday that Katherine Cassandra Li Ong, facing a qualified human trafficking charge connected to the Lucky South 99 offshore gaming hub in Porac, Pampanga, was last tracked in Japan, where she moved shortly after her release from detention.
PAOCC said law enforcement agencies monitored Ong’s movements following her release and coordinated with domestic and foreign authorities to track her whereabouts. Investigators reviewed immigration and travel records to confirm her relocation.
The qualified human trafficking case against Ong remains active, with authorities linking her to operations at Lucky South 99 through evidence gathered during the investigation. The commission emphasized that Ong is considered a key figure in the probe targeting offenses associated with offshore gaming hubs.
For security reasons, PAOCC did not disclose specific dates of her departure or her exact location in Japan. The commission continues to update relevant government offices and pursue all legal and investigative measures regarding Ong and her alleged activities.
