COLLIN COUNTY, Texas — Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug, whose real name is Xavier Landum, was arrested Friday in Allen and booked into the Collin County Jail on charges including driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession and wrongful possession of a firearm, according to jail records.
The Allen Police Department confirmed the arrest but declined to provide additional details, saying the case remains under investigation.
“At this time, we can confirm that an arrest has been made; however, we are unable to provide any additional details. This remains an active investigation,” the department said in a statement.
Authorities have not released details about what led to the arrest.
Landum faced similar allegations last year. Dallas police arrested him on Aug. 22, 2025, on misdemeanor charges of possessing less than 2 ounces of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm. Court records show that his bond was set at $2,500 for each charge.
Landum has gained national attention in recent years as a rapper. XXL named him to its 2024 Freshman Class, and his song “Texas” has surpassed 200 million streams across Spotify and YouTube.
The Dallas-area rapper has also expanded into country music. He collaborated with Grapevine native Post Malone on “Cold” last year and recorded “Highway” with Shaboozey.
