MANILA — Actress Bela Padilla revealed that close friend Kim Chiu once invited her to undergo an egg-freezing procedure together, although she ultimately did not push through for medical reasons.
Padilla shared this during her Feb. 25 guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, after host Boy Abunda asked if she would consider freezing her eggs, following reports in 2025 that Chiu had taken that step.
“Actually, she asked me a few years ago if we would do it together because we’re the same age,” Padilla said. “But I can’t, I can’t do that for medical reasons,” she added, without elaborating.
Despite this, Padilla expressed full support for Chiu’s decision. “I’m very happy for Kim that she took that step in her life, if this is what she really wants to do,” she said.
Padilla also addressed romance rumors, clarifying she does not have a boyfriend following her 2025 split from Norman Bay, though she admitted that someone special has been making her smile.
