MANILA, Philippines — Actress and content creator Bea Borres finally shared a photo of her daughter Hope, explaining that she had waited due to concerns over online cruelty.
Borres posted images of her firstborn sleeping on her Facebook page Friday, March 20, calling her baby “beautiful” and saying, “I’m really really scared to post her pictures online, but her face is too beautiful to not share. I love you, Pea. Ang ganda ganda mo.”
She addressed speculations about why she had delayed showing her child’s face, saying, “A lot of people assume that I’m embarrassed of how she looks but the truth is I’m just afraid of how cruel the online world is. Please be kind.”
Hope’s photos have since received over 1.8 million reactions and more than 26,000 comments on Facebook.
Borres also responded humorously to a netizen suggestion that she should have another child: “Thanks but I’m done! Kayo na lang hehehe.”
Borres gave birth to Hope in December and introduced her to the public on January 27. Soon after, she voiced concerns about online negativity aimed at her newborn.
