MANILA, Philippines — Actor Baron Geisler’s wife, Jamie Evangelista, drew attention online after posting and later deleting an Instagram comment that urged the actor to seek drug rehabilitation, prompting speculation on social media.
Evangelista posted the comment on Geisler’s recent joint Instagram post with an aesthetic clinic that showed the actor receiving a facial treatment.
“Find a drug rehabilitation sponsor who can help you address the root cause of your problems. I doubt a facial can heal that,” Evangelista wrote.
Screenshots of the deleted comment circulated on social media, with some users speculating about Geisler’s condition. Geisler has not publicly addressed the comment.
Evangelista also shared a series of quotes on her Instagram Story about change and accountability, tagging Geisler’s account.
One quote read, “No one plays the victim better than the one who caused the damage,” to which Evangelista added, “Best actor.”
Another quote stated, “A person’s capacity to change their life is directly linked to how much truth they can face about themselves without running away.”
Geisler has previously spoken publicly about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. In July 2025, he disclosed that he once used illegal drugs inside an ABS-CBN cubicle before a performance and later sought treatment at a rehabilitation facility with the help of his siblings.
At the time, Geisler said he remained a recovering alcoholic and maintained that several controversies after his rehabilitation, including his 2016 altercation with actor Kiko Matos, were orchestrated.
Geisler and Evangelista married in 2019 and have one daughter together. Evangelista also has two sons from a previous relationship, while Geisler has a daughter with actress Nadia Montenegro.
