The Maywald family announced on Saturday in Austin, Texas, that the 2024 season will be the final year of their annual Maywald Christmas Light Display, which has operated for more than 15 years and attracted visitors from across the city.

The family confirmed that the display will run through the 2024 holiday season before permanently ending.

City officials have monitored traffic around the display during peak evenings to ensure public safety and access for emergency vehicles. The family has not announced plans to relocate or continue the display in another format after 2024.

The Maywald Christmas Light Display will remain open on its regular schedule through the end of the current holiday season.
