Austin emergency crews save person stuck in tree on cliff

In Austin, emergency crews rescued an adult who became stuck in a tree on the side of a cliff Thursday evening near Arnulfo Alonso Way, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. Responders conducted a high-angle rescue operation in the area near Zilker Nature Preserve.

ATCEMS said the person was located on a cliffside and required specialized rescue techniques. Austin Fire Department assisted in the operation.

Rescuers spent more than an hour extracting the individual from the tree. Authorities said crews safely brought the person down and escorted them out of the area. Officials reported no injuries.
