Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have concluded their divorce settlement in Los Angeles. This marks the end of a prolonged and highly publicized divorce process, spanning eight years. The couple, who were once considered Hollywood royalty, finalized their agreement on Monday, December 30, at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Jolie and Pitt first met while filming the action-comedy “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” in 2003. The pair’s relationship became public in 2005, following Pitt’s divorce from actress Jennifer Aniston. They became known as “Brangelina” and were often featured in media headlines. The couple married privately in France in 2014, after nearly a decade together. They share six children, three of whom were adopted, and three biological.

In September 2016, Jolie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The announcement surprised fans and marked the beginning of a prolonged legal battle over custody and financial arrangements. The couple faced numerous court appearances and negotiations, often attracting media attention. Their legal proceedings were marked by disputes and delays, contributing to the lengthy process.

The main point of contention during the divorce process was the custody of their six children. Both Jolie and Pitt sought custody, leading to legal and personal disputes. Over the years, they have worked to reach a mutually agreeable arrangement for their children. Reports suggest that the settlement includes terms concerning both custody and financial matters, though specific details remain confidential.

Jolie and Pitt have focused on co-parenting and prioritizing their children’s well-being. In interviews, Jolie has emphasized the importance of healing and maintaining a peaceful family environment. Pitt has expressed similar sentiments, highlighting the significance of family unity and support. Both have continued their successful careers in the entertainment industry while navigating their personal lives.

Throughout the divorce proceedings, Jolie and Pitt kept their professional commitments. Jolie has directed and acted in several films, continuing her work with humanitarian causes. She serves as a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, advocating for displaced individuals globally. Pitt remains active in the film industry, producing and acting in various acclaimed projects.
