Pflugerville, Texas — Authorities have issued an AMBER Alert following the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl and an 11-month-old baby in Pflugerville. Identified as Daela Diaz and Christopher Roman, the pair were last seen at approximately 8 p.m. on May 9, 2025, in the 17600 block of Cipremont Lane, a residential area near Austin, Texas.

The alert, initially focused on Daela Diaz, was swiftly expanded to include Christopher Roman amid growing concerns for their safety. The Pflugerville Police Department has intensified their search efforts in collaboration with the community, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that might aid in locating the missing individuals.

Daela Diaz is described as a 15-year-old female, standing about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. However, authorities have yet to release detailed descriptions of her attire or appearance at the time she went missing. As for Christopher Roman, the infant’s description remains limited, with no additional details provided in the initial alert.

The case has garnered considerable attention, highlighting the community’s role in supporting law enforcement during critical situations. The AMBER Alert system, a critical nationwide tool for broadcasting urgent alerts in child abduction cases, is being utilized to mobilize public assistance and expedite the recovery of the missing children.

Police officers continue their exhaustive search in the area where the two were last seen, while simultaneously pursuing leads and gathering evidence that may unravel the circumstances of their disappearance. Despite the ongoing investigation, no information regarding potential suspects or vehicles has been disclosed.

The Pflugerville Police Department is actively encouraging anyone who may possess relevant information to come forward, emphasizing the importance of community collaboration in resolving the case swiftly. Public cooperation is deemed essential, with officials expressing optimism about citizen engagement leading to a positive outcome.

As the investigation progresses, the safety and recovery of Daela Diaz and Christopher Roman remain paramount for law enforcement and the concerned community. The situation underscores the pivotal role the AMBER Alert system plays in coordinating efforts between the public and authorities in child abduction emergencies.
