SUGAR LAND, Texas — Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson was arrested Sunday morning in Sugar Land on charges of driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to Fort Bend County jail records.

Authorities detained Peterson around 9:30 a.m. The records did not indicate his release status or whether bail had been set at the time of the report.
