MANILA, Philippines– The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) has confirmed that National University (NU) volleyball player Alyssa Solomon will remain eligible to compete in the league.

The announcement follows Solomon’s decision to withdraw from the 2025 Korean Volleyball Federation Asian Quota Draft.

Solomon, a key player for the NU Lady Bulldogs, initially submitted her application for the draft, which raised concerns about her amateur status within the UAAP.

However, the league’s Board of Managing Directors clarified that her swift withdrawal from the draft ensured her eligibility remained intact.

The UAAP stated that Solomon’s action complied with league regulations, allowing her to continue playing for National University.

As a result, Solomon will be available to compete in the upcoming seasons of the UAAP volleyball tournament.

Solomon has been a prominent figure in the Lady Bulldogs’ success and will continue to play a vital role in the team’s lineup.

Her performance has contributed to the team’s strong position in recent seasons, and her eligibility is an important development for the NU squad moving forward.

The Korean Volleyball Federation’s Asian Quota Draft presents opportunities for players to showcase their skills on the international stage, but participation in such drafts requires careful attention to eligibility rules within domestic leagues like the UAAP.

Solomon’s decision to withdraw from the draft was made to preserve her amateur status and continue her collegiate volleyball career.

The UAAP’s confirmation of Solomon’s eligibility ensures that the Lady Bulldogs will have one of their top players in the lineup as they prepare for the next season.
