Two students shot, wounded at Nashville high school, police say

A shooting incident occurred at a high school in Nashville, resulting in injuries to two students.

Both individuals sustained gunshot wounds and are receiving medical treatment. The police reported that the person responsible for the shooting is believed to have shot the two students and subsequently inflicted self-harm.

Police officers responded to the scene following the report of gunfire within the school premises. Upon arrival, they discovered the two injured students and the suspected shooter.

All individuals were promptly provided with medical assistance. The condition of the students and the shooter has not been publicly disclosed, as the investigation is still ongoing.

The identity of the shooter and their connection to the school remains under investigation.

Officers are reviewing surveillance footage from the school and conducting interviews with witnesses to gather more information.

The possibility of the shooter being a student at the high school is being explored, but no official statement has been released regarding this aspect.
