SAN ANTONIO, Texas –An AMBER Alert for two missing children has been officially canceled after both were located safely on Friday.
The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed the children Tess Mavligit, 13, and Mackenzie June, 10, were found in Ingram, a small town near San Antonio, following an intensive search.
The children were last seen near the 3500 block of Junction Highway in Ingram, prompting authorities to issue the alert due to concerns for their safety.
Although specific details regarding their disappearance and recovery have not been disclosed, the alert was triggered after officials considered them potentially endangered.
The AMBER Alert system, which helps rapidly disseminate information about missing children believed to be at risk, was activated to inform the public and solicit assistance in locating the children.
The system involves coordination between law enforcement, media, and transportation agencies to share critical details swiftly across the community.
As the investigation continues, the community of Ingram and surrounding areas remain vigilant, reflecting a broader commitment to child safety and protection.
