MANILA, Philippines — Carlos Yulo, a 24-year-old gymnast, has been named the Athlete of the Year by the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA).
Yulo’s exceptional performance at the Paris Olympics, where he secured two gold medals in the men’s floor exercise and vault events, earned him this prestigious recognition. His achievements have solidified his place as one of the Philippines’ top athletes.

Yulo began his gymnastics journey in Manila before training in Japan under a scholarship from the Japan Olympic Association.
