Tyson Fury claimed Anthony Joshua could withdraw from their planned all-British heavyweight fight and challenged Oleksandr Usyk to a third bout after negotiations over the matchup remained unresolved.
Fury and Joshua have discussed a long-awaited fight that could take place in November, but the two camps have yet to finalize a venue. Fury criticized Joshua last week, calling his fellow former heavyweight champion a “coward” over the lack of confirmation.
In an expletive-laden Instagram video, Fury, 38, said Joshua was pulling out of the fight and turned his attention to Usyk.
“This will only lead me to a fight with Oleksandr Usyk,” Fury said.
Fury also addressed Usyk, who has trained with Joshua’s team, and proposed another fight against the Ukrainian.
“You got the decisions last time, fair play to you. Good luck to you, let’s do it again. Let’s run it back in November,” Fury said.
“The ball is now in your court… do you want to fight me this year, 2026, or are you calling quits? Let me know because I am now looking for a new opponent.”
Usyk defeated Fury twice in their previous meetings and became a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion.
Madison Square Garden in New York had emerged as a likely venue for Fury-Joshua, although Joshua’s camp has preferred Wembley Stadium in London.
Sela, the Saudi state-owned promotional company financing the fight, and Netflix reportedly favor staging the bout in the United States.
The Fury-Joshua fight remains unconfirmed as the camps continue to work on the venue and other details.
