MANILA, Philippines — Former actress and singer Nikki Gil has earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from SoFA Design Institute, graduating with highest distinction and receiving the school’s Best Thesis Award.
Gil shared the milestone on Instagram through photos and videos from her graduation ceremony, where she received her diploma with her family beside her.
The former entertainment personality thanked her family, friends, classmates, professors and school staff for supporting her throughout her academic journey.
She gave special mention to her husband, Bryan, and their children, Finn and Maddie, who she said grew alongside her pursuit of the degree.
“Grateful to my family, friends, classmates, professors, and staff at SoFA Design Institute,” Gil wrote. “And to my little unit: thank you to my dear husband @bj_albert who has always been supportive of my pursuit of this dream, and to my Finn and Maddie who grew up alongside this degree.”
“Thank you for being part of the journey,” she added.
Gil previously marked another milestone in July when she successfully defended her interior design thesis.
“A little proud of this one. Proof to myself that I can still do hard things. Last time I used this part of my brain was 17 years ago lol,” she wrote at the time.
Gil has stepped away from the entertainment spotlight in recent years while focusing on her family and other personal pursuits.
Her latest achievement adds a new field to her career after years in the Philippine entertainment industry.
