MANILA — P-pop group BINI gave fans a preview of their upcoming song “A Parallel World” during the opening night of their “Signals World Tour” on Saturday, performing a portion of the track and unveiling part of its choreography at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Universal Pictures Philippines shared a clip of the performance on Instagram, showing the eight-member group singing and dancing to the song, which will appear on the soundtrack of DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming film “Forgotten Island.”
“You and I, we still together/ ‘Til the end, get up together/ Life’s so hard, we cry together/ You and I ride the tide together,” the group sang in the preview.
The soundtrack will also feature singer-actress Lea Salonga, Katseye member Sophia Laforteza, Filipino-American singer H.E.R., and actress Liza Soberano, who voices one of the film’s lead characters.
“Forgotten Island” follows two best friends who embark on an adventure after discovering a magical portal. Joel Crawford and Filipino-American filmmaker Januel Mercado directed the animated film, which is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 23.
The voice cast also includes Salonga, Dolly de Leon, Manny Jacinto, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate and Jo Koy.
Aside from previewing “A Parallel World,” BINI performed songs from its Coachella set during the concert, which marked the start of the group’s “Signals World Tour.”
