SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Public Library is hosting a series of Star Wars-themed events across multiple branches this week to celebrate “May the Fourth,” offering activities for children and adults that include crafts, trivia, and movie screenings.
Library branches in the city are holding scheduled programs on Monday and Tuesday featuring Star Wars-inspired activities designed to engage families and promote library resources.
At the Las Palmas Branch Library, events run Monday from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and include a Star Wars movie screening, scavenger hunts, and crafts such as DIY lightsaber wands and galaxy jars. The program also includes themed snacks.
The Johnston Branch Library is holding activities Monday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., including puzzles, lightsaber-making stations, and interactive play with droid models.
The Westfall Branch Library is hosting a Monday event from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that includes Star Wars trivia, a movie screening, and prizes for participants.
The Pan American Branch Library will hold a “Revenge of the 5th” event on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The program includes a television screening, scavenger hunts, crafts, and snacks while supplies last.
Library officials said the events are part of efforts to engage the community through themed programming and highlight the library system’s Star Wars-related books, films, and music collections.
