Olivia Rodrigo and Jacob Collier released an a cappella cover of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” on Dec. 8, 2024, through a video posted on Collier’s social media accounts.
The performance offered fans in the United States and abroad an early holiday rendition of the Bing Crosby classic.
The video shows Rodrigo greeting Collier and forming a heart shape with her hands before singing the song’s opening lines. Collier, a Grammy-winning English multi-instrumentalist, provided stacked vocal harmonies to accompany her lead performance.
Collier captioned the video, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas with my dear friend @oliviarodrigo,” adding a Christmas tree emoji. Rodrigo appeared in a casual setting that differed from her recent large-scale concert productions.
The collaboration drew responses from other musicians and fans. Singer Sheryl Crow commented, “Ok MIND BLOWN,” while MTV described the performance as one listeners “would play on repeat.” Fans shared the clip widely across social media platforms.
