Spotify announced that Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny reclaimed the title of Most-Streamed Global Artist of 2025, with users worldwide generating 19.8 billion streams of his music on the platform.
The streaming service noted that Bad Bunny previously held the global top artist ranking in 2020, 2021, and 2022 before returning to the No. 1 spot this year.
Spotify identified his 2025 full-length release, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, as the main driver of his performance and named the album the No. 1 global album of 2025. His earlier album, Un Verano Sin Ti, also contributed to his presence by re-entering the global albums chart at No. 10.
Spotify launched a global campaign to highlight Bad Bunny’s achievement, including the short film Leap Year and fan experiences in major cities. The company also introduced in-app features tailored for users streaming Bad Bunny’s music, enhancing engagement during its year-end Wrapped programming.
In Spotify’s 2025 year-end rankings, Taylor Swift ranked as the second most-streamed global artist while maintaining her No. 1 position in the United States. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” was named the No. 1 global song, with Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” and Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” also appearing near the top. Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” and Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” further contributed to the platform’s global song charts.
Spotify said its Wrapped feature, which compiles personalized listening data each December, continues to serve as the main vehicle for releasing global year-end rankings and celebrating artists’ achievements.
