Theatre Group Asia announced on Nov. 22, 2025, in Manila that Filipino-American stage actress Lissa de Guzman, known for her work in “Wicked,” will join the cast of the musical “A Chorus Line,” which will run in the Philippine capital next year, as part of the production’s scheduled local staging.
Theater Group Asia confirmed that de Guzman will perform alongside a predominantly local and regional ensemble when the company mounts the production for Manila audiences.
The producers stated that the Manila staging will feature the original musical score and choreography licensed for the territory under an agreement with rights holders.
The company said it will announce the specific theater venue, performance dates, and complete cast list for the Manila run at a later date.
Theatre Group Asia said the Manila production aims to attract both local theatergoers and international visitors who follow major musical theater tours in Southeast Asia.
The company said rehearsals for the Manila staging will take place in the city before the opening and will follow a schedule coordinated with the creative team and cast.
