Japan has established a consortium involving national and local governments alongside private-sector companies to develop female digital experts.
The public-private entity, launched on Monday, aims to support women in gaining digital skills under the leadership of Wakako Yata, a former special adviser to the prime minister.
The consortium’s efforts will include initiatives to enhance digital literacy and skills among women throughout Japan.
The consortium plans to collaborate with educational institutions and businesses to create training programs and opportunities for women in the digital sector.
