A transformer explosion on Monday afternoon in The Woodlands, Texas injured two workers from Entergy. The incident took place at the junction of Branch Crossing Drive and Woodlands Parkway.

Officials from the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the incident. The injured workers suffered facial injuries and burns but are currently stable. Emergency services arrived quickly after reports of the explosion. The area was secured to ensure public safety, and no other injuries were reported.

The explosion did not disrupt power in the area. Investigations and repairs are ongoing, with the scene cordoned off for safety.

Entergy is working with authorities to determine the cause of the explosion and is providing support to the injured workers and their families.

Residents expressed concern but were relieved to hear the workers are stable. Authorities advise caution near high-voltage equipment and urge reporting of any unusual activities or smells.

The investigation is still ongoing, and officials have yet to release more details. This incident underscores the risks associated with electrical work and highlights the importance of safety measures.

Entergy is reviewing its safety protocols to prevent similar incidents and emphasizes its commitment to employee safety. Updates will be provided as the investigation continues, and residents are encouraged to follow official channels for the latest information.
