SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Food Bank has launched its first-ever Restaurant Weeks event, running from June 7 to June 21, featuring local restaurants offering special dishes to raise funds for the Summer Meals for Kids program.
Participating establishments, including Clementine, Naco Mexican, Pharm Table, Eat Chingon, Momma Luv’s Soul & Caribbean Food, and Poblanos Mexican Restaurant & Catering, will donate proceeds from meal purchases to support efforts addressing food insecurity in Southwest Texas.
Restaurant Weeks encourages the community to dine out while contributing to the Food Bank’s mission of providing nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school meals are unavailable.
The Summer Meals for Kids initiative aims to provide healthy meals to children who might otherwise go without food during school breaks. Funds raised through Restaurant Weeks will help sustain this vital program.
The San Antonio Food Bank organized the event to engage local businesses and residents in combating hunger and raising awareness of food insecurity in the region.
