NEW YORK — President Donald Trump encountered two technical disruptions during a visit to the United Nations headquarters, involving a malfunctioning escalator and a teleprompter issue that affected the day’s schedule and events.

While moving through the U.N. building for official meetings and a scheduled address, President Trump was delayed after an escalator stopped working. The unexpected halt required assistance from his security team and staff, interrupting movement within the building and affecting the timeline of engagements.

During his speech, a separate technical issue occurred when the teleprompter failed, causing a brief disruption in the delivery. Staff addressed the problem quickly, but the interruption was evident during the live remarks.

The White House acknowledged both incidents and stated that the disruptions “do not appear to be a coincidence,” though no evidence has been presented to suggest deliberate interference.

Security and technical teams responded to the malfunctions to ensure the continuation of scheduled events. Despite the challenges, President Trump completed his engagements at the U.N. headquarters.

No formal investigation into the cause of the malfunctions has been announced, but the timing has prompted questions about reliability and preparedness during major international events.
