MANILA, Philippines– Whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan, also known as Totoy, will file a formal complaint on Monday before the National Police Commission (Napolcom) against police officers allegedly involved in the disappearance of more than 30 cockfighting enthusiasts, or sabungeros, between 2021 and 2022.

Patidongan has publicly accused several officers of participating in or facilitating the abductions, which occurred over a two-year period and have since drawn national attention and concern.

Napolcom, the agency responsible for overseeing police conduct and discipline, will serve as the venue for the complaint. The allegations include serious misconduct and involvement in unlawful activities by members of the Philippine National Police.

The families of the missing sabungeros have continued to seek justice, urging authorities to uncover the truth behind the disappearances.

Patidongan’s move to formalize his accusations is seen as a significant step in the ongoing effort to hold those responsible accountable.

Authorities remain under pressure from the public and lawmakers to investigate the claims with urgency and transparency.
