Water main break reported in NW Austin; crews on site

Austin Water crews responded to a water main break on Friday in Northwest Austin, Texas.

The break occurred early in the morning near the intersection of Burnet Road and West Anderson Lane. Residents and businesses in the area experienced reduced water pressure due to the break.

Austin Water officials confirmed the incident and deployed crews to repair the damage. Traffic delays occurred as repair work partially closed Burnet Road.

The cause of the water main break remains under investigation. Austin Water expects to complete repairs and restore normal water service by the evening.

Residents are advised to conserve water until the repairs conclude. Updates will be provided on the Austin Water website and through local news outlets.
