MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced Wednesday that eligible Filipinos may enter the United Arab Emirates under a visa-on-arrival scheme beginning June 25.
The DFA said the privilege applies to Filipino passport holders with valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards issued by the United States, European Union member states, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Canada, and New Zealand.
In an advisory, the DFA said the UAE extended the visa-on-arrival privilege in recognition of the two countries’ bilateral relations.
Under the arrangement, eligible travelers may obtain a 14-day visa on arrival for 100 UAE dirhams. Travelers may extend the visa once for an additional 14 days for a fee of 250 dirhams.
Eligible Filipinos may also choose a 60-day visa on arrival for 250 dirhams. The 60-day visa is not extendable.
The DFA said the new policy will take effect on June 25, 2026.
