San Antonio firefighter arrested for alleged assault on teenage girl — SAPD

A firefighter from the San Antonio Fire Department has been arrested following an incident involving a 15-year-old girl.

Authorities identified the firefighter as Geoffrey Stebbings.

Police said Stebbings allegedly struck the teenager with an open hand during a family conflict at his residence. The teenager is a family member. Officers responded to a call related to the incident and later filed assault charges.

Stebbings has served with the department for 15 years and is currently assigned to the Arson Division. The fire department placed him on administrative duty while investigations proceed.

The San Antonio Fire Department acknowledged the arrest and stated that internal procedures are underway. The department confirmed its cooperation with police and said it is reviewing the matter in line with official policy.

Officials have not released further information about the altercation or any prior complaints. The San Antonio Police Department is handling the criminal investigation.

Stebbings has not issued a statement. Legal representatives have not commented on the case.
